25 Peso Massage, anyone?

Mom loves massages, I too love to have massages, but when we celebrated my niece's birthday at timezone... we got hold of a cheap massage for those in a hurry. I suggested my mom to try the massage chair for 25 bucks. The chair would give you a back massage for 4 minutes. I guess its not too bad especially if you just want to have your back relaxed for a couple of minutes.
With the massage chair, you do not need to make time for a scheduled massage.. but of course do not expect a soothing menthol scent to go with it. Be ready with the noise of the area as it was positioned next to the karaoke rooms, or the arcades. Don't tell me I didn't warn you... but if you have got nieces, nephews or kids that love the timezone, waiting for them while being massaged in the back is not so bad after all, right? =)

Discovering Dove Hair Products

I have been eyeing on the Dove hair care products since I first saw them lined up in the shelves of Mercury Drugstore. Never got the chance before though because we still have a huge 500ML of Pantene waiting to be all used up.

Well fortunately, I was given a sample last time I was at  the shopping mall... and this is what I got... A shampoo and a conditioner! =) I was so excited to use it!

And so I did try it out just a few hours ago. The shampoo and the conditioner had the same flowery sweet scent. I love the scent because it wasn't so mild and yet it isn't too perfumed smell at all. The shampoo produced quite an amount of lather for my short hair, i felt sorry for a minute that I had used up all the content of the sachet, when i think i can have used it for two washes.
The conditioner is a blast too. It made my hair really soft, and it felt so bouncy too... its not the kind of conditioner that feels heavy on your head. But I had to admit it was too hard to wash off... just like all the other conditioners in the market.
So far, so good though and I have to give it a perfect ten for the softness and for the scent. I don't know about the promise it bears - "Intense Repair".. but I will buy this product and put it on with the products I use in my daily bath!

Bayan Broadband - So happy with the service!

After seeing an online friend post a complaint in MYLOT about the bad service she was getting from Globe Broadband and how since 4 months ago, they haven't used the service as much as they were using all the other network they have, I got inspired and felt the need to blog about the good service we are getting from BAYAN Broadband

So here goes:
Seeing the commercial of Lola Techie, yet again.. i thought hey aren't we qualified to avail of the free router / free wifi promo of Bayan Tel since we are on a plan 1900?

Thursday: I called them up early in the morning, about 830 am. I was immediately answered and was referred to a different number, 411-2000. I was advised they are the ones handling the concern for Wifi connections. i got all the information I need and it was explained to me very carefully by the person i talked with. The modem will be charged 200 bucks, and 499 for the service/one time connection fee... and no other charges will be given on the succeeding bill. =)

Friday: After talking to my brother, who agreed to have the modem changed to a modem/router i called the same number and talked to another agent who created a request for me. I asked when we can expect the person to come and replace the modem, and was advised to expect 3 days, including weekends.

Friday Afternoon; the technician came already! had the modem replaced, changed some settings in the pc and the connection.. and viola! Wifi account has already been set up! =)

Since Friday night, till today.. the signal is good... and i can say that BayanTel always is the best when it comes to the broadband services. Why? Because we have been with them since 2004 and every time we had issues with no internet, we cannot connect, etc... their technician would always come right on time- usually less than 24 hours and we would have connections already. For 8 years of being their customer... we have only experienced more than 24 hours of no connection when there was the Milenyo typhoon, and that's it!

Home Spa with Lander Foot Spa Set

Thank God for brothers! My brother bought himself a set of footspa products from the Mercury Drugstore a while ago... Well, I was excited myself and had to hurry him to try it out. (After him, I tried it out myself too!)

1. Foot Soak
- i boiled a water enough for him to dip his feet in the lukewarm water with some parts of the Footsoak from Lander.
- I advised him to wait for around 15-20 minutes then I would scrub his feet. haha! i told him I know how they do it in Foot Spa services! =)
- The foot soak did help, i noticed that the skin absorbed the foot soak better than when you soak your feet in plain water.
2. Foot Scrub
- armed with the hand scrub (the scrubs that fit into one's hand and fingers) I scrubbed my brother's feet, joking him to pay me 500 bucks for the services. haha
I noticed the scrubs was not really thick, the scrubs were not very generous, hence i had to put more to feel the scrub effect.
3. Foot Lotion
- I am not sure if there is really something about the lotion, but i guess it suree was made specifically for feet? Well the lotion is not rich, it was rather a bit watery. For this, I advised my brother to just put some lotion in his feet and wear socks so the lotion will seep into the skin. (Hopefully - I usually do this myself and told him the effects was always better.

Common to the three product is the cooling effect you will feel; because its peppermint, it gives soothing menthol smell! I love it!

* The Foot Spa set is available in Mercury, each costs about a hundred and 9 pesos (Php109.00+)

Broccoli in Oyster Sauce

I would like to share to everyone how successful our version of the Broccoli Vegetable in Oyster Sauce:

What you  need:
Broccoli flower
Garlic
Onions
Oyster Sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water

Saute the garlic and onions, put the broccoli. make sure that you do not overcook the flower. It is best to eat this vegetable crunchy.
Once you put in the broccoli in the pan, pour in the cornstarch that you have dissolved in water; also, Put in about 2 table spoons of oyster sauce while  continuously stirring until it simmers.
Get a fork and see if you can already press in against the vegetable. Be careful not to overcook.
Serve hot! =)

Picture was only taken from a samsung GT-I5503 phone.

My Top Android Applications

I love my Android Phone and for a year now, it is just lately that i have seen the full potential of this type of phones!

There are so many applications that can be downloaded and they are really very useful in your day to day experience with your phone. For starters, Android is an open software that is currently used in most touch screen phones; Samsung, HTC, LG, and Panasonic are the ones that produces Android Phones.

Applications such as calendars, messaging tools are very much available over "Market Downloads". You may do a lot of things with the phone and you can even be your phone's administrator by rooting your phone - of course at your risk. =) Mine is not rooted, i just had the software upgraded; it basically gives me already a wonederful experience and I wish not to have problems with the phone so I am fine with this rights to my phone.

Below are the Top applications that I like best in my Android Phone (no particular order):
1) GO SMS - This is a messaging software, downloadable free; Pro version gives you even an interface with facebook chat and the themes are really wonderful! there are paid themes and there are also a lot of free themes you can use.
This Messaging is by far the best from its competitors, this has never failed me, not hanging and it gives a lot of options as well. Scheduled messages can be created, you can also filter messages, move contacts to a private box(with password)

Go here to download or to get more details:  GO SMS

2) File Explorer - For those, like me who does not have wifi access; this is really helpful for me in installation of new applications downloaded over pc. What I need to do is to just copy the APK file of the application in my SD Card, and install it from the file explorer.
There are a lot of File explorers, but mine was the Astro File Manager and it works wonders!Click here for the link.

3) Photo Wonder - If you love photos and would love to have access to retouching your face, clearing some of the unwanted lines, etc... this application would be perfect.
The photo in my profile for this blog is edited through the said application.

4) Adobe Reader - If you love to read ebooks, You sure will find the Adobe Reader helpful for those PDF Files!

5) App Back Up Restore - This application lets you back up and restore your applications downloaded to an android phone. All you need is a connection to the internet and the rest will be done with a few touches!

6) History Eraser - Whenever we do something in our phone, it logs the details... this is evident in our call logs and applications we opened that are not closed properly and these apps do take a lot of spaces! With the use of this free tool, you can free up a lot of spaces, causing your phone to run faster!
7) Gallery lock Pro - This application gives your photos and videos the privacy you need. :D

8) NIV Bible - A free application that you would surely love to have, especially if you are a Christian. The complete version is downloadable free, and it would even give you a daily readings! Truly a blessing to have this app running on your phone.

9) Fruit Ninja - Okay for those who loves games, this would surely capture your hearts and waste your time.. a lot. This game is really addicting! It would make you want to always get the fruit trivia, and to unlock new blades! ha ha

10) MP3 Cutter Free - This is just a free version, but it is very easy to use. you will be having that mp3 (cut version) for your ringtone or sms message alert in no time! Comes really useful to people like me who loves to have different ringtones all the time. =)

I am no techie person, so there is actually no need for me of the other applications (thousands of them available) but soon as i get hold of a new interesting application, i will surely share them with all of you again!

A red Fan
A landmark eco bag

i'd say.. not bad, really. I am thankful for this blessing.

Happy Weekend! =) Just a few more days and its Kung Hei Fat Choi!

for Php1500 worth of purchases. Coming from the Grocery, we spent just that. So I had a chance to play it.. If i landed on a dragon image(its year of the dragon now at 2012) i get a major prize.

I can now make a dumpling! =)

Its so nice that I am finally able to make a dumpling on my own - from scratch! So How did I do it? I had a dumpling maker - its only php 66.00 from Japan Home - we bought it the last time my mom  and I went for shopping.

Here is how it looked like...

What you need to make a dumpling:

Giniling or Ground Pork
Carrots
Red Onions
Vetsin(small pack)
Sugar
Hoisin Sauce
Dumpling Wrapper / Molo Wrapper may be used if Dumpling Wrapper is not available

Chop the onions, and the carrots. Mix with the ground pork, put in the vetsin, some sugar, and about 3 table spoon of Hoisin sauce (depending on the amount of ground pork you are using).
Have your wrappers ready and start making the dumplings! The tool we bought from Japan Home is very easy to use!

You may either steam or fry the dumplings. ;) Enjoy!!

* Sorry for not being able to explain this well. ha ha i am not a very good at writting instructions, especially recipes... I will try harder next
time... okay?!

My nails grew flowers..

Thanks to the last Foot and Hand Spa experience we had (my friends and I) I got inspired to destress and use nail polishing, or nail art to somehow kept myself busy with something else.
In this entry, you see the result of the latest of what i did to my hand nails. The 3D nail stickers were bought from Landmark Department store in Trinoma Quezon City (a pack costs 49.50 pesos). There are many different designs available but I thought the flowers were cute
and so i chose them.

Each finger nail had different flower color, What I did was to alternate the colors; the stickers are quite sensitive, they break easily but sticks really well to the the nails its rather difficult to manage. It took me almost 2 hours to finish all my 10 fingers! haha

So What do you think of the nail art I did for myself?

But i sure hope you find it worth the effort, seeing the pictures of them in my nails? My nail design is of course nothing compared to the ones in this site... http://www.nailartgallery.com/ but I guess its a good start. he he

Have a happy day!

Happy New Year to all!

Happy New Year!

My first entry of the year… would be sharing the things I have planned or have started doing now that its 2012! =)

First off, I have planned and have started to make my own version of the 365 days of the bible. I have started with this, thinking that this is going to be easy, to get 365 or 366 different bible verses.. but that’s just what I thought… wow it was not even close to being easy, after all. But I will finish this, I will make sure that I do.

Second, is of course something most would want to be doing.. and that is to stay healthy and keep fit. I have reduced eating or munching on chips… I have been successful so far.. no more urge to buy as well (wee congratulations to me!). Next is I am drinking more water, drinking as many as I could. Its going to be good for the skin as well. And to aid digestion,  I am drinking green tea daily; I would dunk a tea bag and just let it seep for a couple of minutes.

Third, I am going to try to always wash my face with a facial wash. I am using Garnier White. Feels good on my face and unlike Pond’s Garnier does not make my face feel burned or itchy even on daytime so I think maybe I would be able to stick with this for this year (several times I have tried, I would only last a couple of days, but so far I have already finished a week straight so it’s looking quite promising.)

Fourth and so on… I would say that I promised myself to smile and think only of happy thoughts for the year!

Foot Spa experience @ Nailfiles!!

My friends and I have decided that today, Friday would be a relaxation day. Our first option was a body massage but then, Connie had stiff neck and is not advised to have a whole body massage. Our Next option is foot spa! Along Mother Ignacia street, thank God there is the Nailfiles branch.

The place is very cozy, the staff are all smiles and they sure do chat with the customers! =) It would make you feel more relaxed.

We chose the package 1; foot spa with 15 minute massage and your choice of manicure or pedicure.

Two of my companions had pedicures done, and I had a manicure instead. ( I still have to get used to having other people touch my toes...so i settled for the manicure.) The experience took us more than an hour, and well if not for us friends going there together, i would have fallen asleep right then and there.

i would have chosen a different style for my nails, but they woulc charge 20 bucks peer nail for those with designs in them... =( i would just do this myself. haha

Maybe next time i would try their wax treatment. he he
Nailfiles have various packages mostly for footspa, paraffin wax treatments for the hand, manicure, pedicure, hair removal via waxing, underarm, legs, bikini area and i kind of peeped through the options, they too have brazilian wax treatment. =)

Happy three Kings!

In line With this celebration.. I have taken a picture of all the gift tags from the presents i received from friends and family alike last Dec 2011. I would like to take the opportunity now, to actually say thanks to friends and and officemates who have been kind the last year, and of course for accepting me in to the team (i am new to the job!)

It is true, indeed that the best things in life are free! Friendship is free, Air is free, Love is freely given and We are free! =) Thank God for the wonderful days.

The Year to come...

 What I want this year?

On Things:

I want a Purple bible. I wish someone would give me a purple bible. God would then be the one to choose who that person will be. (Hopefully he is the person that God chooses for me to spend the rest of my life with.)

I want to have a data plan – so I could have access to various internet websites without relying on free public wifi, or without me waiting for my brother to be sleeping so I could use his computer. Hehe

I would like to buy my mom a cellular phone with flashlight. It would be convenient for her to have it by her bedside so she does not have to charge and recharge the batteries, keeping track of the hours which I think is too time consuming.
I intend to buy myself a camera – for some really good shots. Haha since I plan to always update my blog this year, I of course plan to put some pictures with it… ;P

On everything besides things:

I want to have a harmoniously relationship with family; for it to continue ceaselessly.

I want to have a good paying job where I could spend no more than the required hours and be able to spend time reading the  bible, or on other things…

I want to travel and just enjoy what the world has to offer, besides the free air. =)

I want to be able to spend time or find organizations that would need my services – I want to start being active on such starting this year. I wish to be able to find the right place and start with it.

I want to just love, and be loved. Minus all the bad things that goes along with it. =)

I want to be able to just genuinely smile and not pretend to be happy in front of other people.

I know this will come… I am born to be happy, Says my God!

January 1 to 7 - Bible topics and Verses

Week 1 in the 366 days (leap year for 2012) of the greatest bible verses I am sharing to all of you... As we all know, the bible have several different topics covered waiting for us to read and trust in God's words. i hope this will bless all of you as it did bless me through out the days and nights that i am preparing for this. =)

First seven topics are the following: Walking with God, Answered Prayers, Greatest is Love, Doing what is right, How God  blesses our work, Coming before God and the Secret to sucess.

January 1
Walk with God
Proverbs 3:3-6
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

January 2
Answered Prayers
1 John 5:14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

January 3
Greatest Love
1 Corinthians 13:4-13
4 Love suffereth long, and is kind; Love envieth not; Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13  And now abideth faith, hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.

January 4
Doing what's right
1 John 3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

January 5
Our work is blessed
