Costa Pacifica in Baler, Aurora

Beach View At the Viewing Deck of Costa Pacifica

The Pool is so beautiful. The water is a bit warm too. It wasn't really summer yet so it was a bit raining in the mornings (stayed there 3 days 2 nights). We were greeted by showers in the morning.

Pool Photo for adults (about 4 ft) at 2PM.
No one was taking a dip. It was a Friday. But look at the heavy and thick clouds.

Photo Take below from the Clubhouse, facing the sea. The view is breathtakingly beautiful. :D

The path towards the Rooms, these are Beach Front Rooms (entrance is at the back) The resort is really clean.

This is our room, it connects to another room with kitchen and living room. Its very spacious!!!

So I took a few minutes walk from the resort to the beach. And this is the path / viewing deck path fronting the resort. Getting down from it will lead you towards the beach.

Its a nice 10 minute walk the whole of this Beach. Its windy too so you won't feel the heat so much.

The Beach is clear of trash, its clean with a lot of space to run and walk around.

Welcome Board. If you are coming from the public access "deck".

Inside of the Clubhouse / Restaurant. This is their ceiling. Took a photo while waiting for our food to be served.

So We attended a wedding and this was the set up on Costa Pacifica's Garden. :D

Dinner is served plated for us.

The next day, we ordered at the Restaurant, called Beach House. Its a triple cheese ham sandwich.
Their potato fries is good. We loved it. =) But the sandwiches are so-so.

Buko Lychee Shake is good too. =)

Breakfast is buffet at Costa Pacifica. There are a lot of choices, breads, bacon, pasta, pizza, waffles and hotcakes. There are also the typical filipino breakfast like salted egg and tomato, tuyo, tapa and tocino. They also have omelettes and champorado.

Sambokojin: Yakiniku Buffet

Whenever there is an occasion or even just cravings for a grilled meat... our go to place would always be Sambokojin.  :) They have raised the buffet price to about Php799 Drinks not included.

So Why Anything else when there is Sambokojin?  Honestly, no Yakiniku around metro manila can beat Sambokojin. I have tried Yakimix, but they have actually downgraded now.  When its grill, only one restaurant comes to mind.

My Favorite is Cheese Wrapped in Bacon. Its really great with Sambal Sauce and fresh Lettuce.

The only dessert I try when I am in Sambokojin is the green tea ice cream. Also marshmallows dipped in chocolate is a perfect choice. I am not very particular with the dessert as I probably lost my sweet tooth when I was young. ha ha :D

ChinaTown's Best: Eat All you can Indeed!

I would always prefer to celebrate at Chinatown's best than Vikings. And here are the many reasons why:

1. They have better customer service.
2. The ambiance is not that classy but the food sure is tasty!
3. Their Buffet  price is much cheaper than Vikings!
4. Their Buffet table of selection is wide range - and the plates are never empty.
5. They have crabs!
6. They have Peking Duck!
7. They have steamed Lapu Lapu...
7. They have the best bibingka i have tasted served in a buffet!

Yeah, there are crabs in other buffet places as well, but sure as hell that Chinatown's Best refills the food much faster than Dad's or Vikings.

The only downside is that they do not have Carving stations for steak lovers! =P  I wouldn't dare belittle this restaurant though, it gets really packed with people when its lunch time!

ChinaTown's Best is in Banawe St. Quezon City Manila.

Vikings: Eat all you can Buffet

Okay... so i have heard about Vikings for years! Yeah, my officemates even go to Mall of Asia for a treat at this restaurant. So I wonder what's it all about... I have tried Yakimix, Dad's, Cabalen, Something Fishy, ChinaTown's Best but not Vikings... they sure have an expensive Saturday Rate.

Am I glad that to hear that Birthday celebrants eat free! So there's the hope. haha So Off we went to Vikings, there are a lot of people already waiting in line at 10AM in SM North Edsa.
The buffet feast starts at 11AM and so we thought we are early.. not!

And... since it was my mother's Birthday... all she had to present was her Voter's ID and that's it. We are all set. She even got herself a free birthday cake from Vikings!

Moving on... Vikings sure has a lot of food, i wasn't able to try them all. Here are what I can remember:

1. So They have Carving Station (my favorite) serving turkey meat, lamb leg, angus steak. They will slice and slightly grill for you as you order.

2. Asian Section serving Sushi, Maki, hotpot, dimsum (siomai, chicken feet, braised pork, etc). What I do not like about this section was the Tempura was always out! They refill the items so slowly you will forget you want Tempura. (in ChinaTown's Best or with Dad's you wouldn't wait for a tempura!... just saying...)

3. Beverage Section with unlimited beer! Of course they have a tasty four seasons juice drink, softdrinks (pepsi products)

4. Grill Station, this is the least place you will see people... there are a lot of sate's barbecues waiting for diners to pick them up and be grilled. :D

5. Dessert Station is located in the middle of the Vikings, the different desserts all lined up there seems to be inviting you! I tried and love their doughnuts. Their cheesecakes are not so good. They have the ice cream section, the Filipino desserts are served as well with puto-bumbong, and bibingka and of course halo halo.

Overall Though, I would not shell out another thousand bucks for the Carving station. I'm not very satisfied with the taste of the food, 80% of the food I tasted here are just plain ordinary. Its not very worth the Weekend rate..
