Comfort Food: Baby Back Ribs

I am such a meat lover. There are also a few restaurants that I can go back to almost every month if given the chance. One of our favorite restaurants to go to bears this slogan: "The Best Ribs in Town".

RACKS is one of the few restaurants, that are very well worth every peny you pay for your meal. Their food, Ribs, sides, and all others are quite a good deal. Of course, when you go to Racks, why not order their best RIBS?

Need more information on what to order from this one of a kind Restaurant?

My personal choice: Classic Pork Ribs with Salad and Two Sides

When you have time to chit chat and so on, an Onion Brick as an additional order would also be a nice treat for you and your friends. =)

Sizzlin it your way - Pepper Lunch

Oh, I love Sizzling Meals. I have tried the usual sizzling beef variations, such as the T-Bone Steak, Porterhouse and Salisbury. But seeing Pepper Lunch is new to my eyes and it excites me to try out new things. I have had a chance to eat at its counter part, The sizzlin pepper steak but Pepper lunch is better and my first choice between the two. ;)

Here is their direct link to FB --> https://www.facebook.com/pepperlunchphil

This is what I ordered, It sure was a really good meal! =) Love the Sweet and spicy taste of the Beef Strips. ;) It is really such a comfort. he he

Dimsum Treats You'll never get tired of

I love Chinese foods, and I am especially attached to Dimsums! As a child I have always been brought siomai by my mom whenever she goes to Binondo to visit our grandad. Siomai's before were so much larger than those of the Siomai you see in food carts, they are only served with Philippine lemon and that's it... and of course wayy... better!

Another Favorite Restaurant of mine is the Causeway Restaurant. they serve really great dimsums and these are discounted during 2PM to 4PM.  DIMSUM came from the word "Tiam Sim" Meaning Merienda, or Snacks.

When you visit Causeway, try their Beancurd Roll. Its really very delicious, something new to the taste, especially if you are only used to DIMSUM meals of siomai, chicken feet, siopao or hakaw.

It sure is a good change once in a while. Once you try it, you will find yourself craving for it once in a while.  =)

Causeway Seafood Restaurant have branches in Timog and in Libis.

Stacking Burgers

So are you a fan of Burgers? Have you always loved the juicy beef and cheese and onions combination...? There is another joint that you can try... and you can even put as many patties as you want.

You can build your own burger stacked as many as you want, and can afford. haha :D

I am a fan of Burgers, I love Brother's burgers, Hot shots, even Army navy Burgers, or the Baconator of Wendy's...

I can say though that the burger of Stackers are not to die for... and its not something you would really crave as much as you would a Brother's Burger... Its not that bad, but its not that memorable either. Their Iced Coffee jelly though is better than what I have expected.

If you still don't believe me, try it... but don't blame it on me. =)

Its a Burritoful World! =)

I am not a fan of Burritos... but my boyfriend is and well, i do love Army navy not for Burrito but for something else... he he Their fries for one, indeed is one of a kind. Its really crispy and tasty. I like their Quesadillas too, and their burgers aren't that bad. I'd say no to the Starving Sailor Steak though, its expensive, but its not as satisfying as their burgers! :D

ChinaTown's Best: Eat All you can Indeed!

I would always prefer to celebrate at Chinatown's best than Vikings. And here are the many reasons why:

1. They have better customer service.
2. The ambiance is not that classy but the food sure is tasty!
3. Their Buffet  price is much cheaper than Vikings!
4. Their Buffet table of selection is wide range - and the plates are never empty.
5. They have crabs!
6. They have Peking Duck!
7. They have steamed Lapu Lapu...
7. They have the best bibingka i have tasted served in a buffet!

Yeah, there are crabs in other buffet places as well, but sure as hell that Chinatown's Best refills the food much faster than Dad's or Vikings.

The only downside is that they do not have Carving stations for steak lovers! =P  I wouldn't dare belittle this restaurant though, it gets really packed with people when its lunch time!

ChinaTown's Best is in Banawe St. Quezon City Manila.

Vikings: Eat all you can Buffet

Okay... so i have heard about Vikings for years! Yeah, my officemates even go to Mall of Asia for a treat at this restaurant. So I wonder what's it all about... I have tried Yakimix, Dad's, Cabalen, Something Fishy, ChinaTown's Best but not Vikings... they sure have an expensive Saturday Rate.

Am I glad that to hear that Birthday celebrants eat free! So there's the hope. haha So Off we went to Vikings, there are a lot of people already waiting in line at 10AM in SM North Edsa.
The buffet feast starts at 11AM and so we thought we are early.. not!

And... since it was my mother's Birthday... all she had to present was her Voter's ID and that's it. We are all set. She even got herself a free birthday cake from Vikings!

Moving on... Vikings sure has a lot of food, i wasn't able to try them all. Here are what I can remember:

1. So They have Carving Station (my favorite) serving turkey meat, lamb leg, angus steak. They will slice and slightly grill for you as you order.

2. Asian Section serving Sushi, Maki, hotpot, dimsum (siomai, chicken feet, braised pork, etc). What I do not like about this section was the Tempura was always out! They refill the items so slowly you will forget you want Tempura. (in ChinaTown's Best or with Dad's you wouldn't wait for a tempura!... just saying...)

3. Beverage Section with unlimited beer! Of course they have a tasty four seasons juice drink, softdrinks (pepsi products)

4. Grill Station, this is the least place you will see people... there are a lot of sate's barbecues waiting for diners to pick them up and be grilled. :D

5. Dessert Station is located in the middle of the Vikings, the different desserts all lined up there seems to be inviting you! I tried and love their doughnuts. Their cheesecakes are not so good. They have the ice cream section, the Filipino desserts are served as well with puto-bumbong, and bibingka and of course halo halo.

Overall Though, I would not shell out another thousand bucks for the Carving station. I'm not very satisfied with the taste of the food, 80% of the food I tasted here are just plain ordinary. Its not very worth the Weekend rate..
