Chill Time at Chili's

Its been years since I went to this restaurant. I'm sure am excited to go back to this and well... enjoy a round or two of their unlimited nachos. :)

I thought coming out here on a friday non-salary weekend would be less packed with people. I was wrong. The place was full of people but we were immediately seated to a newly vacated table for 8. :)
We were immediately assisted and a menu was provided. They don't have the unlimited Margarita Promo anymore but they have 3 Margaritas for the price of 350Php.

There were about 8 to 9 Margarita flavors to choose from. I can only remember those that we ordered often that day, the Pomegranate, The Tropical Blue(My pick), Chomborge, and Tequilla Sunrise.

The customer service is excellent with this restaurant. Even if the place is full of people, you won't be waiting for a long time to be accomodated. Everyone was also very helpful. Not to mention the servings are huge and is worth the bill. :P

When Steaks and Crabs are unlimited, It's EL CANGREJO

Craving for crabs, I went to google and found some really great reviews of the site. The price seemed reasonable and so we went to the place. =) It is located in Sgt. Esguerra (if you know where livestock is, it is in the same "compound".

So since we came for the unlimited Crabs and Steaks, We went for it directly. If you do not see it in the menu, just ask the waiter for it. They have been very helpful.

We ordered the scallops for appetizers since it looked really good in the menu. =P It came right on time and it was indeed good.

Scallops

The Unlimited Steaks and Crabs in EL Cangrejo Comes with unlimited Soup of the day as well. This time it was Squash soup.

The steaks are great too, and you will be asked how would you like to have your steaks. I always want them well done so I don't complain if its a bit chewy. =P

The crabs are fantastic too! You know they are fresh! As soon as you are left with one side of crab in your plate, you will be asked by the waiter if you'd like a refill. Usually We get a plate for each one of us - about 3-4 whole crabs! Oh geesh.

Anyway, if you want to try it out, Give them a call as they would require a reservation for guests that would like to avail of the Unlimited Steak and Crabs. Also, This is available only Tuesdays and Thursdays. =)

Stacking Burgers

So are you a fan of Burgers? Have you always loved the juicy beef and cheese and onions combination...? There is another joint that you can try... and you can even put as many patties as you want.

You can build your own burger stacked as many as you want, and can afford. haha :D

I am a fan of Burgers, I love Brother's burgers, Hot shots, even Army navy Burgers, or the Baconator of Wendy's...

I can say though that the burger of Stackers are not to die for... and its not something you would really crave as much as you would a Brother's Burger... Its not that bad, but its not that memorable either. Their Iced Coffee jelly though is better than what I have expected.

If you still don't believe me, try it... but don't blame it on me. =)

Lazer Tag night and a good pizza!

I live so nearby and its just about a 10 minute ride from our place to the Centris Walk... but I have never been to the place. It was only when I have scheduled a Lazer tag event with my officemates that we went to the location... it is beautiful there! Its like a small BGC! =)

Okay so our main agenda was to play a Lazer Tag Game. We got ours from an ensogo deal and the game was worth of 200 for 15 minutes, is only 95 pesos. it was quite a deal so we did availed of it. :D

The place was a bit small when you go up the venue, There were 20 of us so it was a bit small for us, there were some kids in the place.. and we were adults! haha We decided to divide ourselves in 2 teams, and from there we planned how we will beat the other team. so the goal is to shoot as much as you can, and to not be shot!

It was only 15 minutes, but it was such a workout!! You need to bring a face towel and an extra shirt! Its no fun to be sweaty after such a game =) So it was Green vs Blue and our Team won!! :D

They have many restaurants and established within the area. And what caught our attention was the Larry and Mau restaurant. They are sister company with the Uncle cheffy so we did order from the Uncle cheffy and also some from the Larry and mau.

Uncle Cheffy's one of the best pizza i have tasted, seriously speaking! =) And... Larry and Mau's got the biggest burger I have seen served in the City! You really should try it.

Banapple: More than desserts

I have always seen this restaurant every time we drive along Libis. Many times I have thought how come a lot of people would be waiting for a parking just for cakes and muffins (never really a fan of sweet stuffs).

It was when my officemates/Team mates had set a lunch at Banapple near our office that I have tried this place. First, the seats weren't really that plenty, it wasn't really comfortable because there wasn't cushion in them. But their tables are very nice! Full of different colored marbles.

Banapples is a self service restaurants, You may have your orders served at your table after you order from their counter - much like your average fastfood restaurants. Their menu is quite of a number, ranging from pancakes and waffles of different toppings and types, to rice meals and pastas served with protein, and even salad options. Of course, there are also the many selections of cakes and pastries (including muffins and cupcakes).

I have so far tried Lasagna, Chicken Parmigiana (rice meal), Pork tenderloin in gravy (rice meal), and Peanut butter with choco chips pancakes. For desserts, i have only tried their carrot cake which was very good too. i love the moist texture of their carrot cake, as this is really not good if all dried up.

Talking about steaks, CowKing is also on the list

Cowking is a steakhouse or a small restaurant just right in front of the Sacred heart church in Kamuning Quezon City. Prices of their steaks are quite reasonable for the huge servings, and generous portions of beef meat.

Boyfriend's order, is a Porterhouse Steak. Mine is a Cream Dory Fish and steak Combination.  All orders come with rice, add a few bucks to upgrade rice to mashed potatoes! =)

Salisbury Steak

To add to the regular stuff we order at this place, You could also try their Turon with Vanilla Ice Cream! =)

Forget about how this place does not look like your regular steakhouse, Its a small place, with only a few tables to accommodate guests, I'd say this place is still wonderful, and I'd go anytime still. =)

Value for money is 4 stars!
Customer Service is an average 3 stars.

Did anyone say Steaks? Then it must be Melo's

Marking the third month of our relationship, We were  thinking of what and where to have our dinner last friday. Being a meatlover myself, of course first options are always restaurants that would serve scrumptious meals... and BF is a fan of steaks! He is paying so why not?! He thought of Melo's which was just across our company's building.

We were greeted with a friendly attendant upon entering the restaurant. The lights were dimmed - Oh yeah, fine dining it is! In jeans and in shirts... haha I am feeling awkward  but excited. After ordering, we were served with dinner rolls while waiting. Our tomato soup (soup of the day)  was served and we were asked if we'd like to have fresh pepper with that - i said yes to the offer.

My Order: Lamb chops with Cranberry and Mint Sauce
This was served with a hot plate. three lamb chops were cooked wonderfully topped with cranberry sauce. The peppermint dip was in a small dip container - it was good and refreshing but i was so in love with the cranberry sauce not to mention the generous portion of fresh and crunchy shoestrings potato fries side dish!

His Order: Wagyu steak  ( 9 ounces)
Also served in a hot plate, there lies the wagyu steak, medium well, all nince ounces of grade 6 meat, sliced and weighed in front of us... with nice grill lines. :D Their mashed potato isn't mashed, but boiled and sliced (but tastes like mashed!). The meat was really tender, and there has to be no effort in eating it, it was so tasty and yummy and soooo good. best steak ever! Even without the gravy, it's got that juicy and perfect steak taste.  The price is so worth it.

A dinner for two would average to five thousand or more in bill, is quite an expensive experience, but worth it for a night of fine dining, and being served well. The waiters  and servers are very friendly and always asks how we find the food or if we do need anything else. It was worth a try, good for a special night/day.

Pinoy Hat..Yogurt, Filipino style! =)

I am sure you all must have tried White hat, the italian yogurt... For the most part, i only enjoy the plain yogurt - with its sour, creamy and sweet taste... but just a few days ago, with my mom in the supermarket, she asked if we can eat yogurt - its good for cleansing the intestine, by the way.. so yup off we went to a kiosk in Landmark.

I was only suppose to get the plain, again or the Baker's hat... but then i was enticed by childhood memories, due to the photo ad i saw in the kiosk - Pinoy Hat with chocnut! wow what can be better than that?

So what does this "HAT" contain? Well of course, its got the regular yogurt serving, 2 sticks of barquillos, cashew nuts, and chocnuts. he he Its really wonderful, and its a good choice! you should try it if you are a fan of peanut butter chocolates.

Ma Chicken Noodle House (Trinoma)

This North Park group of Restaurant seems to be having a good business in Trinoma Cinema Area. They have a little space to them, but people seem to always go and try out their “Mami” or Noodles. “Ma” Noodle House seems promising, as they have some noodle options – you would even be enticed to try their Binondo Style Noodles! Which is by the way, is their “Declared” specialty.

So we ordered the Binondo Style Mami (Noodles) and well, First sip was disappointing already because even from the looks of the soup (which is so pale) I thought that it might still have a taste to it… but hell no! There was no taste at all. It was just like boiling water was poured unto the bowl of noodles and some chicken meat! This is the worst noodle soup ever!

I practically had to put a teaspoon of chili oil and 2 tablespoons of siopao sauce just so I can “taste” something! This was not worth the time. I would have been happier with Lucky Me chicken if you ask me, and this is not an overstatement.

My Mom and I paid for the two bowls in our table and walked out of the restaurant, and I am not exaggerating about this.  Try it at your own risk(and waste of money) - don’t tell me you have not been warned!
