Big Apple Spa Experience

Employees of ELJ Communications Building get a 10% until otherwise notified! =)
After the stressful party preparations, last minute shopping, busy schedule of get together here and there... My friend and I decided to have a massage at the Big Apple Spa just across our work building. Good news that we got a 10% discount, and the service is only Php299 for an hour of Manhattan Massage, so that was only Php269 for an hour of relaxation... weee.
The place was cozy, or a bit too dark, maybe because my eyes are failing me... they have couple's room or individual.
Manhattan massage was more on the stretching and some tissue massage, which is okay, for the amount paid. It sure was worth the 1 hour massage! Because for an hour, your whole body is massaged and stretched, no concentration on some body areas but all of it where touched... ;)
Next time i go there i would be bringing mom along! She would really enjoy this (I am worried for the therapist because she's on the heavy side. hehe), promise!! =)

Starbucks 2012 Planner

First, I would like to give thanks to a friend who has made it possible for me to have a starbucks planner. He was the one who has put most of the stickers in my card. =) I just learned about their promo on the last day and that only 14 stickers gets me the planner and luckily I was able to avail of it.

I took a picture of it, including the pouch it has, the bookmark and of course, the planner itself. Mine is Cherry. The planner photo is below:

Para Sa iyo, Sana Mabasa mo...

Alam mo namang Mahal na Mahal Kita.
Siguro dahil jan, kaya nagagawa mo ang mga bagay na aking nakikita.

Madalas mo akong pag intayin;

Inakala ko ikaw ay magbabago at babawi;

Rest your mind in Christ

 Philippians 4:5-7
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
In verse 6, God tells us to pray and give thanks to everything; that we can always present our requests to him. Often, We pray indeed for him to grant our wishes, and our hearts desires; But when his answer to us is delayed, we become anxious, we lose patience and lose heart. It worries us and it troubles our minds.

I am in the very situation right now. I have been faced with a giant trouble; The pain i feel is best described as a knife being plunged into my very heart. The situation is causing me to lose sleep, to wake up in the middle of the night, worried or troubled. Only prayer helped me get through each day. I have never prayed so much. And this is when I  realized how strong prayers are. This whole experience taught me to trust in the Lord more, that he will always be with me, day or night to comfort me and he actually did just that... and more!

He is taking away the pain in my heart, slowly but surely; He calmed my  troubled mind... and is taking away all the suspicions, all the sadness, hurts, pains... I know If i remain faithful... God will replace all these with joy, peace, goodness, faithfulness, more calmness, with more compassion, with more happiness and more love.

A forgiving heart, to glorify God...

1 Peter 3:15-16
15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

With this verse, I remembered an instance in my life where I have forgiven an enemy; My exact words were: "I forgive you"... And then a reply came to me she said that I need not be "sarcastic..." I was not offended by her reaction, after all who would forgive so easily, especially if you have been made a fool, if you have been lied to, cheated on.

Maybe it is really quite unbelievable that someone who was hurt so badly could forgive so easily. I just told her that I really do forgive her and that I do not plan to insult her with those words and i meant that I have already forgiven her...

When I told this person that I forgive her, something was lifted up from my heart, I felt I was free and that I am no longer burdened as much. God works in wonders, indeed. I knew God meant me well and that He knew I would understand this test or trial that came to me. I would  have reacted differently, but I chose to accept the fate and gathered strength from God.

I am so thankful that God works in me, in my heart, and in my whole being. I am thankful that he always gives me reasons to hold on, to not lose the hope. I know I am a work in progress and I know that God will never give up on me, until he perfects me...
