BBQ Chicken and Beer Experience - Quezon Avenue Branch

This branch has opened months ago, but since I always see this restaurant, I thought they served really good food. I live just near the area and finally i had the chance to go and try it out. I brought my mom and my brother with me. =)

Oh well. We were given the menu list (which was a lot by the way - all of them are mostly chicken) They have Beef Bulgogi and Pizzas. The price ranges from 190 to 300+ per order.

So what we ordered are the Barbecue Chicken, 1 Spicy and the other, just plain BBQ Chicken. I ordered their Boneless Buldak; side orders included some Fried mozzarella and 2 orders of Colpop.

I asked her what's their specialty but she told me, that depends on our taste as to what we wanted to try. I told her to assist us as to what we can order since it is our first time... to no avail. I just gave up because she does not seem to know their menu.

The waitress told us though that the BBQ Chicken were fillet; but it came to us with bones. So okay that's forgivable.

My brother grabbed the mozzarella sticks as it came, and it was empty inside the breading. There is a hole; it was no mozzarella stick, its breaded stick overly fried breadcrumbs. We told the waitress, she asked if she can take it away to show their manager, and she did get the sticks... it never came back to us. our order was taken back to the kitchen.

We finished our other food that were in our table. The BBQ chicken is similar to that of Reyes Barbecue... Reyes' was more juicy.

Colpop is like chicken popcorn or chicken nuggets. My brother joked it was similar to my mom's chicken nuggets left in the fryer - toasted dry. he he

Well then, we asked for our bill. I thought they will not charge us with the Fried Mozarella since they took it away and never brought back to our table. Not even the Manager came back to us to apologize... NOTHING! There was even this one woman who probably tried to eat the sticks to try it out. Damn! Anyway.. we just paid whatever was in the bill. my brother hates to confront anyone especially in the public.

I just thought i want to vent out. That Fried Mozarella was about 270 pesos, if i remember correctly. It was a rip off! And the nerve of the manager in that restaurant. I really think this restaurant will not last if they are always like this! I won't even recommend people going there. This is no authentic Korean BBQ. Not even the service compares to the mini Korean restaurants I have been to.

Sucks. I even thought they are promising. Serves me right. Next time i will ask people first before trying out a new place, especially if there are not much people eating. he he

If you are still not convinced, you can visit their website and well... consider yourself warned : http://www.bbqchickenphilippines.com/menu/

THOR Hammer USB (Jollibee collectibles)

Well well well!!! Aren't we all excited about Thor's coming back in the movie houses? =) Well I am, of course. he he together  with the excitement I feel was the urge of wanting to own my very own THOR Hammer 1Gb USB!
How do we get this USB anyway?! so here's the deal... go to any Jollibee store and buy yourself a cheesy bacon mushroom meal and add 95 pesos =)
My first attempt was unsuccessful, Thor's hammer eluded me because the Crossings Branch ran out of stocks just 3 days after the commercial aired... =( The second attempt was when my officemates opted to buy the said sandwich meal, others did not want to avail of the USB and so i got their slots. So excited,  we waited... but a call came and we were advised they already have no stocks left. Second attempt is a failure... so maybe its meant to be... i am not to own one afterall. =(
Then one weekend mom said she was hungry and asked to go to jollibee to have a small meal before hitting the groceries... an idea came and there I was asking if they have hammers left(hahah) before purchasing the meal required. Well I got two!! So it probably is true that third's a charm! yihaaa.

So a rough estimate of how huge the hammer was... is the photo comparison. the hammer was almost as big as the burger's box in length. It  was rather heavy. The USB dock was in the hammer handle, and well do keep your receipt as I have a friend whose USB was not working.

The BearWitch Project - A Birthday Surprise!!!

It was a lovely, and special day... for my BF who is celebrating his birthday last Oct 29. It started with a challenge, when I asked him if he wanted a cake for his birthday. of course I was already thinking what to give him because I already saw the kind of cake I would give him. He then told me to surprise me instead. he has no idea what kind of cake he was... I told him I will try to buy something still but made no promises because I have whole day meetings that day. And probably he never expected anything. (good for me)
After lunch, with a plan in mind... I asked a friend to accompany me and off we went to SM Annex in North Edsa. We got off at the SM annex entrance, near the adobo connection, and Buffalo Wild Wings and Things. Tous Le Jours is where we wanted to go. I called the bakeshop hours before but they refused to reserve my Bearwitch.. So in fear of a ruined plan I had to get it as fast as I could! =P
So I did say its  Bearwitch cake, right? Yes it is. In time for the Halloween Tous Le Jours has put a hat in the bear!! When I eyed on this cake, it did not have a hat on it... but Im fine with that. =)
I asked the lady to put a dedication on the cake, asked for a candle (but was given a set of 5 candles of different colors). My friends got all the others and I just used two candles, one inserted in each of the Bear's ears. =)
Enough introduction!!! Here's the cake...

Tous Le Jours have a lot of branches, mostly in SM Malls. Visit their website for your own Designed Cake. =)
Here's Where this goodie was placed, really cute... inside out! =) he he

Ivory liquid bath soap

A friend has asked me of any products that is good to use for bath that is okay for sensitive skin.... a bath soap and a liquid soap. I have, of course nothing else in mind but the Ivory products that we are using for years as well.
I suggested the 2 in 1 bath and shampoo from Ivory. And I know it would work and its good for the hair. I have never used any conditioners anymore since I used the 2in1 shampoo... its made my hair softer even and even if I sweat its not evident and there's no smell that sticks to my hair. :)

Dimsum Treats You'll never get tired of

I love Chinese foods, and I am especially attached to Dimsums! As a child I have always been brought siomai by my mom whenever she goes to Binondo to visit our grandad. Siomai's before were so much larger than those of the Siomai you see in food carts, they are only served with Philippine lemon and that's it... and of course wayy... better!

Another Favorite Restaurant of mine is the Causeway Restaurant. they serve really great dimsums and these are discounted during 2PM to 4PM.  DIMSUM came from the word "Tiam Sim" Meaning Merienda, or Snacks.

When you visit Causeway, try their Beancurd Roll. Its really very delicious, something new to the taste, especially if you are only used to DIMSUM meals of siomai, chicken feet, siopao or hakaw.

It sure is a good change once in a while. Once you try it, you will find yourself craving for it once in a while.  =)

Causeway Seafood Restaurant have branches in Timog and in Libis.
