I have been K-popped!

I have no intention really to turn my personal blog into a KPOP only posts but I just want to share what I have been up to the last few months I haven't been around to update my blog.

I love Korean Dramas and yes I watched a drama that turned me into a KPOP / KROCK fan. I have no intentions but it just went through and I was sucked into it almost forcibly (by some unknown Force).

I just want to introduce them to you all of you here! And move on and try to update the blog with travels and of course some food trips. So please allow me to just allot this page and a few others (in the future) to be dedicated to them.

I am now a PRIMADONNA! oh yah. If you are sucked in to one KPOP Group and all you think about is their music, their performance, and you follow all their accounts in social networking sites, you already belong to a FANDOM. Basically my fandom name is PRIMADONNA. We bear the color yellow, a pentastick and a lightstick that is only that of the group I FOLLOW.

So what group is that?! Its FTISLAND. Five Treasure Island. Okay, not very catcy name. Perhaps i can refer you all to some of their songs, and performances (you can message me for all of those) and you'll know why i got hooked in the first place.

Anyways, Here are the members of the BAND. Oh yeah, by Band I mean they play instruments and they are not your typical IDOL groups that dances on stage. Hence, they are not as well known as their BIGBANG and SUPER JUNIOR Counterparts.

Lee Hong-Gi (Or Lee Hong Ki / Lee Hong gi) is the Main Vocalist. He is basically the frontman, the one everyone sees all the time. He is the owner of the very unique voice - that is only him.
* he joined a singing contest in a KOREAN show where his face was covered in mask, and yet almost all judges knew it was him (its got to be him because his unique voice has surrfaced)

Lee Hong Ki (FM302 Album Cover)

Choi Jong Hoon is the Lead Guitarist. He is the leader of the Band. He is the one that basically tells everybody when they should practice, how they should interact, and all. He loves BearBricks and is very addicted to it. He even brought them and well guested one in his very recent drama. (yeah a toy got a guest appearance)

Jong Hoon and his Bearbricks

Lee Jae Jin is the Bassist. He is basically the band's middle child. trapped between the oldest and the youngest member of the group. He is also known as the "Saico". Meaning he is actually a bit psychotic at times haha . nah by that i meant he is funny, and just being him.

Lee Jae Jin

Song Seung Hyun is also a guitarist, joining the band when another member left, he is matured for his age, but is always happy. He shows a happy disposition despite a lot of challenges; and he is also called a soft smile hero - his smile can light up even the darkest room. It is such a stress reliever.

Seung Hyun the Soft Smile Hero

Choi Min Hwan is the group's youngest member. He is so cute, really. ha ha well he is the Band's genius drummer. He always does cute faces, and is very good at doing selfies. He did a 30 minute show teaching their fans how to maximize and make yourself a good selfie photo! :D

The Cutest Maknae Choi Min Hwan

Collectively, the Band - FTISLAND is not a dance idol, they are a rock band. Very famous in JAPAN and has held several concerts a year. they are a bit underrated, as they have little fan based (not the strongest in numbers but i guess the strongest at heart).

What I love about this band is that they are very true to everyone who follows them. Sometimes a bit too much honest. They do not try to put up a fake image and tries to cover up mistakes. they just show the real nature of their personality. This is probably why even the small fans they have have mustered up all their strength and gives them the support, as much as they could.

Interested to see the true colors of the band that is the FIRST group to have a Rated+19 Show in KOREA?? Check this out!  Coming Out Episode 1: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2npvqo and search from there. This MTV reality show has 5 episodes.

Rainbow Loom Charms!

People have gone crazy over Rainbow Looms; Mostly people are making themselves different bracelets, and necklace even. The color combination is also part of the challenge, and even the chase of trying to buy yourself the color that you want that is week by week unavailable in the toy stores.

Well, this dragon scale bracelet have now become my Timex's bracelet. The strap is already broken and I have stopped using it for years until, rainbow loom made it possible. ha ha =)

My Mom, also have requested me to make her a Christmas Décor (I know...) Its only June but I still have a long way to go, so this is no rush and if I need to relax, I would just make one using the cheaper band alternatives as my trial bands for this Charm.

There are many other charms you can make,m even earrings with loom bands. It is just a matter of how you creative you want to be! =)

Tali Beach, Nasugbu Batangas

I was quite excited when I heard we are going to Tali Beach Resort for my birthday weekend. It was such an exciting countdown since I haven't been to the beach this year, nor have I had any trip outside Manila for a Vacation.

Tali Beach was in Nasugbu Batangas. Off we went from Fairview to Batangas at 6AM. There is a slight delay due to some MMDA officer thinking we were riding a Colorum Van. (This shall qualify for an entirely different post, I'd say).

Ready as we all are, we arrived in Tali Beach Subdivision, with high hopes of a great swim day. The weather is lovely, it is great for a late afternoon Swim. =)

We were directed inside the Subdivision. The Place was not yet as developed as the Terrazas de Punta Fuego. Well I thought maybe that is why we have not heard much about This membership place.  \Our friend has advised us that there are is no Clubhouse, and no pool to swim in. So We are only headed to the beach side.

The house we rented is Php 17,500. It was a huge house, with plenty of beds to sleep on. I counted 4 big rooms, with at least 4 beds in each room, All air-conditioned.

The Kitchen was well ventilated, Complete with kitchen utensils, knives, gas stove, microwave oven, plates, cooking pans, and so on.

Up we went to the roof top to further explore the house; It was a huge space, where the whole family and friends can stay and unwind and have a nice long chat feeling the cool wind blowing.

The House had a rooftop Jacuzzi too! The view was that of the Sea, when facing the back of the mini pool.

So we prepared for lunch, rested for a while and to the beach we go. =) It was a 3 minute drive from the house we rented to the beach sides; There were many mini beaches along the "Beach Drive" of the subdivision. There was the Tali Beach, Palm Beach, Marina Beach.

The Stairs going down to the beach side wasn't that bad. SO excitement was still in me... not until I was close enough to the beach that I saw piles of trash in the water! If you swim, you will literally be swimming with the garbages! What a heart dropping scene when all you want is to take a dip in the sea. =(

We stayed and took photos of the surrounding... It was great except for the huge pile of plastic bags, chips packages, tetra, juices, and some other garbages you'd normally see in your black bag.

We were told to try out the other beaches, so we went to Marina Beach, just a minute from where we first stationed. But this beach was no different. There were a lot of dead corals on the beach side, there were a lot of small rocks too, and dried weeds all over.

Overall ratings: Nope this beach is not for Swimming. I would not even dare come back to this side of Nasugbu. It is way too costly for a dip in the small Jacuzzi, and not be able to enjoy the Beach. Why would I even travel 3 hours for a small pool? =(

TV Plus - Mahiwagang BlackBox is now Available for Sale!!

It was 3 years ago when I blogged about the Digital Box of ABS-CBN, Here finally, NTC has provided its IRR or the Implementing Rules and Regulation for Digital Television. Luckily it was ABS-CBN who has been constantly preparing for this approval and release that just about a month after the NTC's signed IRR, it is now available for commercial selling.

The digital box will be available in a lot of stores, even in SM Cyberzones as ABS-CBN partners with dealers you trust as well. It will come with an antenna, remote control and RCA connectors (for TV to Box connection). It also comes with a warranty of one year, so do not lose your warranty card and submit the filled up form upon purchase.

The boxes that you will see will be the one on the front of this picture, The TV Plus with ABS-CBN Logo as the signal strength. Gone is the old and "fun" loud colored design. ABS-CBN now means we are in business and we are serious to provide you the best digital tv experience.

See who endorses the TV Plus! Its Sarah G!

TVPlus gives you a clear TV reception for a one time fee of P2,500. Unlike cable services, you need to pay monthly of least P550 pesos, and the screen won't be as clear as when you are hooked to this box, because HD boxes are more expensive for different cable companies.

As of this time, DTT signal coverage is initially offered to Metro Manila, key cities in Luzon (Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Benguet) and Metro Cebu. This is now basically almost all of Luzon, soon expansion will be on its way since as per NTC, Philippines will have to shift to Digital TV within a span of 5 years.

* Make sure to buy this product from authorized sellers only! Also, look for the TV Plus logo to be sure that you have the authentic product! (Tip: ABS-CBN Digibox comes with a free ABS-CBN Mobile sim and a free load of 50 pesos)  =)

Ramen Galore!

I have come to love Ramen! =) I have always loved noodles, but I love them cooked dry, as in Yakisoba style. But Ramen are really great, maybe because my mom insists on them. =)

Ramen X - Trinoma (Soup base is not as good as the authentic Ramen houses, Their bowl is huge, though but that is just about it. )

Taisho Ramen - SM North (This Ramen house is fairly good. They have variety of soup base, and portions are enough for one.)

Hanamaruken Ramen - Trinoma (This is new, the branch was in the former Ramen X location. ) As you can clearly see, the soup base is totally thick, compared to that of the former 2 Ramen houses in this post.

Windows 8 Wallpapers!

I have recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 8. Wow it s so much different from all other windows I have had the chance to try myself and well.. it could take a few minutes to an hour for you to get used to it.

Whilst browsing, I find it a bit boring still without a proper wallpaper that we all would love to see. Besides, there are a lot of sign in options with the new windows 8, depending on your laptop capability and so mine included fingerprints, picture password and stuff like that. =)

Here are some really good Windows Wallpaper I found from the net. :D

The Colors of Loom Bands!

I know this has been going around for quite some time already. I am sure though that many of us here in the Philippines have just started having their kits. :P There are no kids around the house so we are so much behind but its never too late to catch up anyway?! =)

We bought our kit in Toys R' Us store in Trinoma Mall. They have a lot of loom brads there but we opted for the "Original" one, which is the Rainbow Loom.

Yup, its for 8+yo but who cares! I love the challenge and just logging on to youtube, you will already see how crazy people are for these! over a million views for each tutorial and its crazy, crazy, crazy!!!

Moms have to save up and encourage their kids to try this out, its an expensive hobby, but it will most certainly allow your children to bring out their artistic side. =)

Like most, I started with the two color Fish Tail, four color fish tail and then moving on to the harder ones(well my bf was the one doing most of the hard stuff anyway). You know what they say, it will kind of test your patience... But its already have made a lot of adults I know addicted to looming bands!

The Kit @Php899.75 comes with a hook, a mini rainbow loom, rainbow loom, free assorted rubber bands, and c clips.  Refills vary in amount, but mostly each color of band refills are at Php179.75 @600 pcs of rubber bands. The Neon ones are for the same price but for only 300 pcs of bands. Other brands have Php99.75 for 200pcs but they look cheap and most probably would not be as strong.

You really have to consider the bands strength because you have got to pull and flip and invert the bands especially when you try to make difficult patterns.

Fish Tail Patterns: My Favorite colors

HexaFish: UST Colors... :D

Double Scale Dragon and Inverted HexaFish: Loom for men! =)

Double Cross:  Blue, White, Pink and Purple

Other Stuffs made of loom (not your typical bracelets)

Credits to Eena for the other loom creations! =)
