Prayers - Why should you bow down and pray?

I have always hold on to the thought that one day everything will really fall into place. I admit i have been in rather difficult situations, but somehow, I still am able to get up and get back on track and continue the journey. Prayers have been part of this journey in my life full of surprises!

With this, I would like to share some important notes on prayers and why we should always have a habit of prayers. But, what is prayer anyway, and why it is important that we practice prayers?

Prayers = This is an ongoing relationship with God, When we pray, we talk to God. Its like opening up your heart to your friends, but with prayers, we open it up to God, and expect him to  listen and be there for us - not to judge us and not to make us feel guilty.

Remember, God answers prayers, Just as God has told us in Jeremiah 33:3. Call unto him and he shall give us answers.

Every time we feel we are hopeless, that we are at a dead end, just always pray and feel the almighty hand - he shall give us comfort - Just as God has promised in Matthew 11:28 (Come to me all you are weary and heavy laden, I will give you rest).

God also promised us that he will give us whatever we ask in prayer. He will answer, either to immediately give us what we want, tell us to be patient for a while, or give us something better - other than what we prayed for... we can have this promise confirmed in verses Matthew 7:7-8

God does not and won't let us be defeated in this life without a fighting chance, that chance is for us to take or neglect - similarly, many times when Jesus felt weak himself, he would always pray for God to increase his strength, his understanding, and so on. this is what we were told in Ephesians 6:10 "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

We know this because we have experienced this, when we bow down in prayers, we are almost always changed into a different person. We understand those who tries to annoy us, we are more patient with the neighbors next door, we always give people the chance or the benefit of the doubt, we are different people because we then have been rejuvenated.

Constant Prayers will and does change lives - When we pray for people, we can be sure that we have helped those people, and when we pray for ourselves, we know more than the help we need, we are better persons.
